Notice turns perimenopause symptoms into a report a doctor can actually read

A private, on-device iPhone app from Waypoint Apps, built by a husband and wife team after six years of unanswered symptoms.

Waypoint Apps today released Notice, an iPhone and Apple Watch app that helps women track perimenopause symptoms and turn them into a report they can hand to their doctor. Notice is available on the App Store today.

There is no standard appointment for perimenopause. The conversation usually happens, if it happens at all, in the last few minutes of a visit booked for something else.

Notice was built for that gap. Logging a hot flash, a headache, or a broken night takes a few seconds. The app finds the patterns across those entries, including how symptoms line up with sleep, with the menstrual cycle, and with hormonal birth control, and generates a dated report a clinician can read in the time an appointment actually allows.

Private by architecture, not by policy

All of the analysis happens on the device. Notice has no accounts, no cloud sync, and no usage analytics, and we never see your health information. Your health data never touches our servers. The only things Notice ever sends are anonymous crash and diagnostic reports, with no health data in them.

That is a deliberate contrast with a category where symptom data has repeatedly been treated as a product.

Why we built it

Notice was co-founded by Kate, whose own perimenopause went unnamed for years while she tracked symptoms by hand.

I started recording my morning blood sugar and my headaches in a little notebook. When I brought it to my doctor, she could not really read it. I wanted a tool that could finally help me when I sat down with my doctor.

Everything we built comes back to one goal: helping a woman have a productive conversation with her doctor. Health data is also the last thing that should sit on somebody else's server, so the pattern-finding runs entirely on the phone. That meant more work and a harder problem, and it is the part of this app we are proudest of.
